Red Deer Rut Break
We would like to invite you to join us for a Red Deer Rut Break with the Bird Watching and Wildlife Club at the Grant Arms Hotel.
This Break includes four nights comfortable accommodation with Breakfast and Dinner each day. The Red Deer Rut Break aims to let you experience this highlight of the Scottish wildlife watching calendar. A line-up of seasonal talks and events is included.
The BWWC Team will also be on hand to provide recommendations of other wildlife hotspots.
The price for this Break is £320.00 per person (with no single supplement- please note that places are limited).
SAMPLE ITINERARY:
Monday 4th October
Arrive at leisure from 2.00pm onwards and settle into the Hotel getting to know your surroundings, take a stroll through Grantown-on-Spey or simply relax in the Hotel Lounge.
Enjoy a Welcome Wildlife Briefing from the BWWC Team, followed by Dinner in the Restaurant.
After Dinner there will be a talk in the Osprey Suite, a chance for you to learn more about the Monarch of the Glen and its habitat.
Tuesday 5th October
Enjoy a full Scottish Breakfast in the Restaurant.
After breakfast why not meet the BWWC Team at Findhorn Valley to look for Red Deer and Raptors? We’ll be looking out for rutting behaviour as well as birds such as the Golden Eagle and Peregrine Falcon.
A Wildlife Briefing will take place before Dinner is served in the Restaurant.
After Dinner there will be a special BWWC Quiz in the Capercaillie Bar.
Wednesday 6th October
Enjoy a full Scottish Breakfast in the Restaurant.
After Breakfast why not join the BWWC Team for a wander through Anagach Woods to the River Spey in search of wildlife? Then at 2:30pm you can hopefully watch the drama of a rut with Glenlivet Wildlife on one of their Red Deer Rut Land Rover Safaris on the Glenlivet Estate.
There will be a Wildlife Briefing before Dinner is served in the Restaurant.
After Dinner you can relax in front of a film in the Osprey Suite or enjoy a drink in the Capercaillie Bar.
Thursday 7th October
Enjoy a full Scottish Breakfast in the Restaurant.
After Breakfast there will be another opportunity to witness the remarkable Red Deer of the Scottish Highlands. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
After a Wildlife Briefing, Dinner will be served in the Restaurant. A film will be screened in the Osprey Suite after Dinner. Remember you can always add an evening’s wildlife watching from a local hide if you fancy it (extra cost involved).
Friday 8th October
Enjoy a full Scottish Breakfast in the Restaurant before your departure.
