Grantown on Spey is at the northern end of the area used in filming the major BBC TV series 'Monarch of the Glen', starring, amongst others, Susan Hampshire, Dawn Steele, Hamish Clark and Sandy Morton, now in its fifth series of filming.

A tour on 'Monarch Country' takes in the railway station at Broomhill, just outside Grantown which features as Glenbogle Station, south to Loch Laggan, where Glenbogle Castle itself is to be found on the far side of the loch.
